Windmills

When exploring Holland, seeing a windmill up close is a must! I have been amazed of the pictures and can't wait to see one:) For five centuries windmills have helped in the countries struggle against water. Holland boasted more than 10,000 mills just over 150 years ago and only 1,000 remain today. The Dutch used windmills primarily to remove water from the land but was also the primary source of power in Holland.
