Since our trip to Barcelona, we’ve moved, renovated and redecorated our new apartment. We’ve done lots of sanding and painting so far and anticipate we'll be all finished in 2 weeks time. The 1st floor of the apartment is just about finished but need to finish a hallway and 2 bedrooms. We've been lucky to have lots of people here to help us out so we've gotten lots done in a short amount of time. The other night we shouted “Move that bus” given we had our own mini home extreme makeover! We love the new place and have lots and lots space.
We are steps away from city centre, have a nice skyline view, all day sun in the front and back balconies and are on a quiet street lined with full trees, shops, flower stands and markets. It's a 2 floor apartment with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Plus, we are just 10 min to the office and beach!
In the meantime the dust has definitely NOT settled but' we've already broken in the apartment by hosting a fun Koniningnenach Party "Queen's Night" to celebrate the Queen's birthday. We had finger foods for dinner and good tunes including "WV Country Roads....take me home". We shouted the song with our dutch and canadian friends - even though one person really knows the country roads - Scott. We've learned that europeans LOVE that song!! And I am sure the neighbors were singing along next door and down below.
