Dad in critical condition

http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/paulcohill
Dad had colon surgery earlier this week and he is now in ICU in critical condition.
His blood pressure was very low and he was mysteriously bleeding internally. He is back in the ICU and the medical staff is trying to
improve his blood level and stop the bleeding. They had to put him on a ventilator to regulate his breathing and eliminate any difficulty he was having.
Here's an update:
The situation is very serious, yet the doctors are hopeful that the bleeding will stop and his blood pressure will return to normal and he can continue normal recovery from his surgery. They are giving him blood (8-10 units today I think) and plasma and it appears that this is helping some. He is also heavily sedated with Ativan (for those of you who might know what that is). The doctors are concerned about the effect and stress all of this is placing on Paul's other organs (lungs, kidneys, heart) but they are unable to truly understand how they are doing until the blood issues are handled and stabilized. The level of care Paul is receiving at the Va Hospital is excellent and we are confident they are competent and doing all they can. They (and we) are hopeful that within the next day or two, the bleeding issue will be resolved. Please pray with us to this end.
Please pray that God would quickly and completely heal Dad and this would be an amazing testimony of God's Grace.

We so appreciate your friendship and your care.
