Updates

My suit and work shoes have been dusted off! I am now officially in the market for a job – full time, part time – anything that sounds interesting, fun and challenging. I have met with recruiting agencies (best way to find work as an expat) and when the right job comes around, I’ll be ready to consider. But for now, I am seeking, learning, and meeting people in the workforce to get an idea of availability and location.

Scott is still enjoying his work here and we get together with co-workers often for BBQs or local outings to the beach or downtown. He has started his summer semester of grad school based out of GW – yes, in Washington, DC…. He is one lucky guy to have his lectures mailed to him every week and gets to fast forward his classes. He is enjoying the studies and is half way through completing the System Engineering degree.

We have met lots of people from all over – and have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know people from different backgrounds and cultures.

There is so much beautiful scenery here from sidewalk cafes, canals, tree covered bike paths, windmills, and beach - and not to mention the amazing tulips and wild flowers.

We will be home in May for a brief time (2 days) and then off to OBX for Ashley's wedding! Its going to be a fast, busy week but we look forward to stepping off the plane on home grounds in 2 weeks.
